The world’s largest high-altitude wetland, in a glass

Colombia holds nearly half of all Andean páramo ecosystems on earth, including the Sumapaz, the world's largest high-altitude wetland. This experience draws from two distinct elevation zones near Bogotá: the Sumapaz and El Verjón páramos. Led by a DipWSET candidate sommelier and Colombian terroir researcher, the tasting presents ten carefully selected elements representing different altitudes and thermal floors. Three artisanal distillates crafted with native and pre-Hispanic ingredients, some infused with highland coffee and regional botanicals, anchor the journey. Each is paired with seasonal fruits, traditional Andean sweets and intense flavors that capture the soul of Colombia's mountain ecosystems.

Hosted at your hotel, rental or venue in Bogotá or Cartagena, the session is led by a DipWSET candidate sommelier and Colombian terroir researcher. Ten elements across different altitudes and thermal floors anchor the journey, a tasting that doubles as a geography lesson of the ecosystems Colombia shares with no one.
